These terms apply when you use flooringhardwoodplus.com or hire Flooring Hardwood Plus Inc. ("we", "us") for flooring work. By booking work with us, you agree to them.
1. Estimates and quotes
Prices shown on this website, by the estimator or by our chat assistant are approximate and before tax. They are not an offer. Your price is set by a written quote prepared after a free on-site measure. The written quote describes the work, the materials, the price and how long the price is valid.
2. What can change the price
Conditions we cannot see before the old floor comes up, such as damaged subfloor, moisture, uneven levels or hidden obstacles, may need extra work. We explain it and get your approval before doing any extra work or charging for it.
3. Scheduling
We work Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Start dates are agreed together and confirmed in writing. Weather, material delivery or site readiness can move a date; we tell you as soon as we know.
4. Your part
Please give us clear access to the rooms, move furniture and fragile items unless we agree otherwise, and tell us about anything we should know, like radiant heat, pets or known leaks. Materials you supply must be on site and suitable for the job.
5. Materials
Wood is a natural product: colour, grain and tone vary between boards and from samples. Manufacturer warranties on materials are provided by the manufacturer.
6. Workmanship warranty
Every job comes with a 1-year warranty on our installation, starting on the completion date. It covers problems caused by how we installed the floor. It does not cover misuse, normal wear, water or moisture damage, humidity outside the manufacturer's range, defects in the materials themselves, or work changed or repaired by someone else.
7. Deposit and payment
Installation only (you supply the materials): a 30% deposit is due before work starts.
We supply the materials: a deposit of 50% to 70% is due before work starts, depending on the materials, so we can order them.
The balance is due when the work is complete. The exact deposit and payment details are written in your quote.
8. Service area
We serve Ottawa, Ontario only. We do not provide services in Gatineau or elsewhere in Quebec.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any claim related to the work is limited to the amount paid for that work. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Ontario consumer protection law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

When you contact us, send a request on this website or use the chat assistant, we may collect your name, phone number, email, neighbourhood or address, the type of work, room size, preferred dates and any details or photos you choose to share.
2. Why we use it
Only to answer you, prepare your quote, schedule and do the work, invoice, provide warranty service and keep business records required by law. We do not sell your information and we do not send marketing without your consent.
3. The chat assistant
The chat on this website is powered by an AI service. Messages you type are sent to that provider to generate a reply. Please do not share sensitive information such as payment card numbers in the chat.
4. Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us run the business (for example website hosting, email and the AI chat provider), and only as needed. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
We keep information as long as needed for the purposes above and for warranty and legal record-keeping, then delete or anonymize it.
6. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we collect only what we need.
7. Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent, by writing to Info@flooringhardwoodplus.com. We reply within 30 days.
8. Cookies
This website may store small settings in your browser, such as your light or dark theme. We do not use advertising trackers.
